Reality XP is a leading next-gen simulation services, technology and system integration provider, offering a broad portfolio of products and services for Prepar3D.

If you own the wonderful Reality XP GNS430/530 WAAS here is a quick tutorial on how to update the navigation database that comes to the product (from 2007) to a newer one (newst I could find was from 10 2009). • Create a backup copy of the following files in your GNS400W-500W Trainer installation folder (e.g. C: Program Files Garmin GNS400W-500W Trainer) • basemap.bin • terrain.odb • terrain.tdb • worldwide.bin • Download and install the G600 Trainer from here (this contains the newer navigation database): • In the G600 Trainer folder, go to GDU db subfolder (e.g. C: Program Files Garmin G600 Trainer GDU db) - it is very important to go to GDU db and not the other folders in the installation! • Create a local copy of this file: BMAP.BIN. Rename the copy to basemap.bin. This is the only file that changes it's name from the two versions so this is why the rename.

• Copy the following files from the G600 Trainer GBU db folder back to the GNS400W-500W Trainer folder (overwrite the existing files - that you should have backed them up at step 1). • basemap.bin • terrain.odb • terrain.tdb • worldwide.bin Do not copy the other two remaining files in the GBU db folder as they will not work ( e.g. Safetaxi.bin and terrain.adb) • Power up the Garmin GNS 530 trainer and look at the navigation database validity.

It should be now 2009 instead of 2007. If you encounter any problem just restore the files backed up at point 1 and they should be gone. After following these steps you can uninstall the G600 Trainer to save some space.

Hope this works for you too. Enjoy the flights and as always do the update at your own risk! Anonymous said. Just checked the website and they have just released version 6.01.1 in July, 2016. Just wondering if anyone has already downloaded this? I would like the basemap and worldwide files only(the rest is garbage to me).

I would do it myself, but we have terrible internet (Still on a very slow ADSL1 in our part of australia). My email is rjfon1-----at----hotmail.com. Remington 742 Serial Numbers Date. Don't want to get spammed by a robot, so you all should know what to do with the interesting email address.

Many, Many thanks in advance. National Driver Training Study Guide Answers here.

Ed you are correct. Although the artwork of both versions of the Garmin 430 is similar, Eaglesof places a small version of their logo in the lower right hand corner.

That being said, can the Eaglesoft version of the Garmin 430 ne updated?ThanksTomTom, at the time we built our GNS 430's we had discussions with JL about including his in our products much like DF had done.At that point I did our own GNS 430 Artwork to be the exact same size as the RXP units in an effort to provide 'interchangeability'.Eaglesoft GNS System Database is not 'updateable'.
